Super busy week following on from the IOM worlds here at Catsails. We cracked straight back into the orders and sent out IOM sails, DF95 and DF65 sails, bags, caps and stencils this week and now GiGi is ready in the hall for her trip to Fleetwood this weekend with Skipper Nigel. We certainly love our model boats…. remember you can get your orders in at Online Shop. If you are near Fleetwood this weekend hop on over and have a look at these fabulous boats…..

Competitors from all around the world descended on Datchet this past week, and they loved our Boatbags, Foils bags and transmitter snugs. Elite skippers with high quality bags – result!! You can order your custom made IOM boatbag, foils bag, snug etc here from us at www.catsails.co.uk.
Nigel will be part of the big team of volunteers helping out the Race Team throughout the event. Some pictures above of the IOM Nationals at Datchet in 2014 – the atmosphere was fantastic then and we are sure it will be gripping sailing and good banter this year.
Sending good luck to all.

Nigel and Mark having fun with their twin boats at Datchett for the UK IOM Nationals 2026. Remember you can order our IOM sails in our shop here Online Shop

It’s been all change at Catsails this past week or so, as Nigel has had the sewing machine out and made eight suits of beautiful detailed Vintage Marblehead sails out of ‘varnished Terylene’ for a number of Vintage Vane steered boats originating from the 1950s and 60s. Each boat had an individual designed suit of sails which proved quite challenging but it was very nice to go back to the skills I learnt as a full sized sail maker – certainly served my time starting at age 16! Haven’t forgotten it! Also our thanks go to Wayne Stobbs from our sister shop Cat Components for designing and 3D printing vintage style number stencils.

Congratulations to the winners from the weekend Craig Richards and Nigel Barrow- wow and both sailing with Catsails. We had a great weekend at West Lancs YC for the first TT of the year – and huge thanks to the club for hosting us. As you can see there was a good turn out and many of these skippers will follow the circuit around the UK this year. Catsails were being sported across the fleets and if you wish to get in the groove then follow here….Catsails

Catsails are off to meet up with our friends and race at West Lancs YC , Southport this coming weekend. Will the wind blow??? It will probably be chilly.
